Eļļas tehnikā gleznoti mākoņu tēli nebeidzamā mainībā aizpilda bezgalīgu plašumu un glezniecība kā līdzeklis, lai tur nokļūtu. Realitātes vai notikuma mirkļa tvēriens, kurā savijas īstenība un ilūzija par iespējamo un neiespējamo. Tomēr reālistiskā glezniecības maniere liek noticēt, ka skatītаis ir īstenības atspoguļojums.

“Mākoņi” ir saistošais elements, tā par tiem izsakās māksliniece Ilze Smildziņa. Viņas gleznās - stāstos laiku un telpu padara nebūtisku, līdz ar to skatītājiem ir iespēja pašiem interpretēt, kur gleznotāja savu darbu varoņus – draugus, paziņas vai nejauši satiktos cilvēkus, ir attēlojusi. Lai šī interpretāciju varētu notikt, māksliniecei ir svarīgi radīt telpu un plašumu, kas “pilnīgi reālas ainas padara sirreālas”.

Ilze Smildziņa ieguvusi maģistra grādu glezniecībā Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijā figurālajā meistardarbnīcā un maģistra grādu grafikā. Māksliniece ir veidojusi vairākas personālizstādes Latvijā un Lietuvā, kā arī piedalījusies dažādās vietējās un ārvalstu grupu izstādēs un mākslas konkursos, tostarp “ArtParis” mākslas izstādē, pārstāvot Saatchionline mākslas galeriju (2011), 6. Pekinas Starptautiskājā Mākslas biennāle (2015, 2019), „Paint One Another Know One Another” konkursa izstādē Pekinā (2016), Art Gemini konkursa finālistu izstādē Londonā (2017, 2018), kā arī mākslas simpozijos Francijā, Baltkrievijā, Somijā, Indijā un Kiprā. Ilzes mākslas darbi atrodami privātkolekcijās – Kanādā, Beļģijā, Francijā, Zviedrijā, Vācijā, Īrijā, ASV, Baltkrievijā un Latvijā, Ķīnas Nacionālās mākslinieku asociācijas kolekcijā un Luciano Benetton kolekcijā. 2023. gadā ieguvusi Gederta Eliasa galveno balvu par lauku tēmas atspoguļojumu.

Ilzes Smildziņas izstāde “Garā pupa” mākslas galerijā “Bazar’t”, t/c “Mols” 2.stāvā, Krasta ielā 46, Rīgā būs skatāma no 1. decembra līdz 31 decembrim katru dienu no plkst. 10.00 - 21.00.

ILZE SMILDZINSA WITH PERSONAL EXHIBITION "LONG BEAN" 1.12.-31.12.2023.

mages of clouds painted in oil technique in endless change fill an infinite expanse and painting as a means to get there. A snapshot of a moment of reality or event, where reality and illusion of the possible and the impossible intertwine. However, the realistic manner of painting makes you believe that what you see is a reflection of reality. 

"Clouds" are the main element in the art of Ilze Smildzina. In her paintings - stories, time and space are rendered irrelevant, thus the viewers have the opportunity to interpret for themselves where the painter has depicted the heroes of her works - friends, acquaintances or people she met by chance.In order for this interpretation to take place, it is important for the artist to create space and spaciousness that "makes completely real scenes surreal".

Ilze Smildzina obtained a master's degree in painting at the Latvian Academy of Arts in the figurative workshop and a master's degree in graphics. The artist has created several personal exhibitions in Latvia and Lithuania, as well as participated in various local and foreign group exhibitions and art competitions, including the "ArtParis" art exhibition, representing the Saatchionline art gallery (2011), the 6th Beijing International Art Biennale (2015, 2019), " Paint One Another Know One Another" competition exhibition in Beijing (2016), Art Gemini competition finalist exhibition in London (2017, 2018), as well as art symposia in France, Belarus, Finland, India and Cyprus. Ilze's works of art can be found in private collections - in Canada, Belgium, France, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, USA, Belarus and Latvia, in the collection of the Chinese National Artists Association and in the collection of Luciano Benetton. In 2023, she won the main prize of Gedert Elias for the coverage of the rural theme.

Ilze Smildzina's exhibition "Long doll" in the Contempoarty art gallery "Bazar't", on the 2nd floor of the shopping center "Mols", Krasta street 46, Riga will be open from December 1 to December 31 every day from 10.00 - 21.00
