Kristīne Kutepova: "Esmu pamanījusi zināmas līdzības dārzniecībā un radošās idejas izaudzēšanā. Izstādē aplūkojamās gleznas ir augušas dažādi – ir tādas, kuras briedušas gadiem ilgi, bet citas uzdīgušas un nogatavojušās ļoti ātri.  

Galvenie tēli man ir augi, un iedomāta, abstrakta vide, kurā tie atrodas. Tā, iespējams, ir augu īstā pasaule, ar augu acīm sajūtama. Augus pati audzēju jau vairākus gadus, pārsvarā no sēklām, vien daži augi ienāk dārzā jau zaļojošā izskatā. Katram augam ir sava personība, individuāls raksturs un izpausme. Dažus no tiem esmu atveidojusi sērijā “Augu porteti”. Pārsvarā gleznoju no vērotāja redzespunkta, tomēr dažreiz arī novērotāja tēls ir gleznā klātesošs.

Dārznieka gēns ir stāsts par sapņainu dārzu, kurā kavēties, būt klātesošam, atpūsties, redzēt un sajust. Tas ir stāsts par dzīvību, rūpēšanos, ļaušanu būt!"

ENG: Kristīne Kutepova “The Gardener's Gene” [Meet the Artist] [Workshop]

Kristīne Kutepova: I have noticed some similarities in gardening and cultivating a creative idea. The paintings on view in the exhibition have grown in different ways – there are some that have matured for years, while others have sprouted and matured very quickly.

The main characters in the paintings are plants and the imaginary, abstract environment in which they are located. It is probably the real world of plants, perceptible with the eyes of plants. I have been growing plants myself for several years, mostly from seeds, but some plants enter the garden already green. Each plant has its own personality, individual character and expression. I have painted some of them in the "Plant portraits" series. I mostly paint from the observer's point of view, but sometimes the image of the observer is also present in the painting.

The Gardener's Gene is a story about a dreamy garden where you can linger, be present, relax, see and feel. It's a story about life, caring, letting be!
